Welcome to the Colts Ice Hockey Club!

 

We are a New Jersey youth hockey program dedicated to teaching hockey and life skills to kids of all ages.  Our club is based at and plays all of our home games at Twin Oaks Ice Arena, 65 Columbia Road, Morristown, NJ, 07960.  We have teams from Mite through Midget and feature excellent coaching and training, a full schedule of practices and games and above all a friendly, family atmosphere designed to help kids develop and mature.

Colts Players and Families Walk to Support the Valerie Fund – And Teammate Will Cody

Colts players and families walked and ran to support the Valerie fund, which provides healthcare and support to children with cancer and blood disorders.  Here’s a picture of this great event and a link to a story on the day.

Colts Squirt AA Win Spring Tournament in Brewster NY!

 

The Colts AA Squirt team recently participated in and won the Spring Tournament in Brewster NY.  Here’s a picture of the Champions!

2016-2017 Season Teams Selected 

Tryouts have ended and the Colts want to thank the players, coaches, families and volunteers who worked hard and well throughout the week.  We are excited about the teams that have formed for the 2016-17 season and we will now turn to a successful Spring hockey season.  But one more thank you to all involved for a great tryout week, we appreciate your support!   

 

 Colts Bantams Win End of Season Tournaments!

The Colts Bantam teams all ended their season strong, with the Bantam AA team and Bantam B team winning their end of season tournaments and the Bantam A team finishing the season strong.  This was a terrific ending for all of them but a fond farewell ending for the AA team, many of the players and families having played together since Mites and grown up together.  Congratulations to all the Bantams, here’s our Bantam B winners!

Colts 16U AA player Brendan Sanderson was recently interviewed on NJ.com on his game winning goal in the Halverson Cup.  You can see Brendan’s interview here:

Colts Pee Wee AA Win the EJEPL Playoffs!

The Colts Pee Wee AA team recently won the EJEPL playoffs in thrilling fashion, adding another great moment to what has been a terrific season.  Congratulations to the Pee Wee AA players, coaches and families!

In addition, the Bantam AA team finished in second place in the EJEPL playoffs, giving this group of players and families that have been together a long time another great memory.  Congratulations to the Bantam AA Family!

 

Colts Rock the American Cup in Lake Placid!

The Colts Ice Hockey Club participated in the recent American Cup in Lake Placid, NY.  Playing at the historical Olympic stadium, the teams played very well and the kids and families had a great time on the ice and in the town.

Noteworthy performances were turned in by many of the teams, led by our Bantam B team, which took the gold medal.  Shrugging off an early goal against, the Bantams rallied and won the gold with a hard fought 3-2 victory!  Congratulations to the Bantam B players and coaches!

Next, the Pee Wee team took Silver in a rugged matchup and performed terrifically throughout the tournament.  Congratulations to the Pee Wee players and coaches!

In addition, the Bantam A team had a great tournament, taking Bronze earlier in the day.  Congratulations to the Bantam A players and coaches!

 COLTS TO CONTINUE TO PARTICPATE IN THE EASTERN JUNIOR  ELITE PROSPECT LEAGUE FOR THE 2016-2017 SEASON 

 EJ League

The Colts will once again participate in the the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League for the 2016-2017 Fall/Winter season.  This league, which will supplement our ongoing participation in the NJYHL, will allow some of our teams to skate in the EJEPL. The league will have 2 showcase tournaments and approximately 8 league games, allowing us to add to our current schedule, enhance development, and provide excellent competition at the 12U through 18U levels.

Help Wanted!

We are a club that counts on volunteers to help make the experience great for the kids and their families.  We are looking for help in many different areas including score keeping, event planning, photos and more.  If interested, please contact a Board Member (see contacts).

    USA Hockey Announces Standardized Tryout Dates for 2017-2018 Season

    USA Hockey approved a rule that standardizes tryout schedules across the country.  As a result, the tryout dates for the 2017-2018 season are as follows:
