The Jersey Colts Squirt Black team headed to Washington, DC over President's Day Weekend to participate in the My Hockey Tournaments Congressional Cup where they powered their way to a second tournament championship this season.
They began action on Saturday against the Johnstown Warriors coming away with an impressive 5-1 victory. Afternoon action pitted the Colts against the New York City Cyclones where they would once again emerge victorious by a margin of 5-0.
In their loan game on Sunday the Colts were tested by the Pittsburgh Vipers but eventually grinded out a 7-3 win and earned the top seed in Monday's semi-final.
In semi-final action the Colts found themselves in a rematch with the Vipers this time prevailing by a score of 5-1.
In the finals the Colts squared off against a familiar opponent, the North Jersey Avalanche. Determined to bring home the hardware the Colts cruised to a decisive 7-1 victory. Congrats to the Squirt Black and best of luck in the upcoming NJYHL Playoffs!
